UAJS President Vitaly Chernoivanenko will present public lectures at the Université de Montréal

From March 26 to April 13, 2018, Dr. Vitaly Chernoivanenko, the President of the Ukrainian Association for Jewish Studies and the co-director of the M.A. in Jewish Studies program at the NaUKMA, is serving as a visiting professor at the Université de Montréal (UdeM). His classes and public lectures are focused on the Dead Sea Scrolls' authorship and queer motifs in the Bible.

The public lecture "Queering David and Jonathan: Recent Discoveries about Biblical Same-Sex Love" is scheduled for April 4. The public talk "Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls: Should We Still Believe in the Essenes?" will take place on April 9.
