The international conference “Ukrainian Jews: Revolution and Post-Revolutionary Modernization. Policy, Culture, and Society” will take place at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Museum (2 Skovorody St., Kyiv) on October 15–16, 2017.

The Seventeenth World Congress of Jewish Studies took place from August 6 to 10, 2017 at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Members of the Ukrainian Association for Jewish Studies Vitaly Chernoivaneko (Kyiv) and Vladislava Moskalets (Lviv) participated in the workshop of the European Association for Jewish Studies «E pluribus unum? Multidisciplinarity in Jewish Studies Program and Teaching» (May 28–29, 2017 р., Girona, Catalonia).

The Ukrainian Association for Jewish Studies is deeply concerned about the possible closure of the Central European University.

On March 15th, 2017, UAJS President Dr. Vitaly Chernoivanenko held a meeting at the Hebrew University (Universidad Hebraica) in Mexico City.

This conference is dedicated to the history of Ukrainian Jews during the revolutionary period in Ukraine (1917-1921) and the early years of post-revolutionary modernization.
