On March 11, 2026, the presentation of the project Bibliographic Database “Jewish Studies in Independent Ukraine” took place at the Odesa National Scientific Library (ONSL). The project is being implemented by the Ukrainian Association of Jewish Studies.
The event was moderated by Yevhenia Berezhok (chair of the “Odessica” local history department at the ONSL). The UAJS’ President Vitaly Chernoivanenko (online) and Vice President Serhiy Hirik have presented the forthcoming database.
The speakers discussed the concept of the project, its features compared to other bibliographic resources on Jewish Studies, the principles of selecting the publications, and the search system.
Among the participants of the event (including online participation) were associates from various departments of the ONSL and other Ukrainian libraries, the Jewish Museum of Odesa, scholars, and public figures.
